They also feature in the documentary Down from the Mountain, which is based on a performance performed by the musicians who composed the soundtrack. The Whites were inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 16, 2008, in Carthage, Texas, in a ceremony that was broadcast live on the internet. They were inducted into the Hall of Fame with Buck Owens and Mickey Newbury. Rosana White, also known as Rosie, is the third of the four White sisters and performs on the Grand Ole Opry with her three sisters, Buck, Sharon, and Cheryl. “The Violet and the Rose,” a Mel Tillis favourite, is performed sometimes by her in high harmony and occasionally as a solo performance.
