Debra Jeter Terrifying Story – What Happened?

Debra Jeter made the notorious frightening 911 call in which she calmly told the dispatcher, that she killed her children almost ten years ago. Kelsey, a 12-year-old girl, was killed in the tragedy on June 5, 2009, and Kierstan, a 13-year-old girl, was struggling for her life.

She picked up her daughters for visitation on June 5th. She enticed her daughters into an abandoned farmhouse just off Interstate 35 by promising them a surprise. The girls eagerly followed their mother into the house, unaware of their mother’s terrible twisted plans. Debra took out a knife once they were inside the building, revealing the surprise she had in store for them.

Kierstan was the first to be attacked by Debra, and Kierstan valiantly yelled for her sister to go. Debra then moved on from Kierstan to Kelsey. Kierstan was stabbed in the back while attempting to defend her sister.

Debra kept slashing at Kelsey’s throat, fatally injuring her. Debra then returned to Kierstan, who was afraid and critically injured and purposefully slit her throat. Debra had only picked up the two kids four hours before.

Debra Jeter was heartbroken about her husband Lee Jeter’s recent split. Lee had started divorce proceedings, and Debra was in the midst of a tumultuous child custody battle over their two young daughters, Kierstan and Kelsey.

She attempted suicide on May 21st, 2009, a little over a week after Mother’s Day, while at home with her two young girls, unable to bear the thought of losing both her husband and her children.

This was the first major evidence that Debra was having trouble coping, and Lee was concerned enough to request a restraining order against her, fearing that she would harm their children.

Debra was given unsupervised visitation by the Courts just one day after her suicide attempt and less than three weeks after the restraining order was lifted.

After being released from the hospital, Debra made plans to see her two daughters and drove them to an abandoned house off Interstate 77 right before Route 35 in Milford.

According to reports, Jeter initiated the attack with a knife on Kiersten. Kiersten yelled for her sibling to run as she fought with her mother.

Kiersten was stabbed in the back while defending her sister. Kelsey was tragically killed in the abandoned house’s bathroom after Debra slit her neck.

Debra also returned to Kiersten and sliced her across the neck, cutting her airway and a major artery.
