David Boston Biography

David Byron Boston (born August 19, 1978) is an American retired professional football player. He was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Boston was Picked by the Arizona Cardinals eighth overall in the 1999 NFL Draft.

He also played for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He became a Pro Bowl selection with the Cardinals in 2001. He was suspended for the first four games of the 2007 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He was released by the Buccaneers after the 2007 season.

Boston has had a number of legal issues since retiring from football. In 2009, he was arrested for driving under the influence. In 2011, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine. In 2012, he was arrested for assault.

Since his release from prison, Boston has been working to turn his life around. He is now a mentor to at-risk youth and a motivational speaker.
