Publish date: 2024-07-05

Finding themselves at No. 2 on the Billboard charts (via XclusivesZone), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist sold 74k units, which continues to be the trend on the charts with more R&B sounding artists receiving the bulk of the purchases and hip hop artist album sales under performing compared to years past.

Lace Up, is one album that did not under perform, and found some moxy from the label it was released under's past.  MGK's Bad Boy debut, and first studio album was able to sneak into the Top 5 on the Billboard charts, settling at the No. 4 spot with 50k units pushed.

Billboard is planning on changing how they chart urban music, most notably R&B. So what do you think, do these numbers seem accurate?
