Ullmark goal video has taken the internet by storm.

Boston Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark made headlines on Saturday when he scored a goal in the dying seconds of the team’s game against the Vancouver Canucks, sealing a 3-1 victory for the Bruins.

Ullmark’s goal came after the Canucks pulled their goaltender in favor of an extra attacker in a last-ditch effort to tie the game.

With less than a minute remaining, a puck deflected in front of Ullmark, and instead of passing it to a teammate, he decided to take matters into his own hands and shoot for the empty net.

“As soon as I shot I see three guys jumping towards me, and I had no idea where it was,” Ullmark told NHL.com.

The shot was a success, with Ullmark beating the entire Vancouver defense and sinking the puck perfectly into the Canucks’ net.

Ullmark’s teammates quickly congratulated him on the rare feat, and the Vancouver crowd looked on in awe.

Goalie goals are some of the rarest sights in hockey, with only 15 such goals ever recorded in the NHL and only Martin Brodeur scoring more than one.

Ullmark’s goal makes him the 13th goalie in NHL history to score a goal in the regular season and the first Bruins goalie to accomplish the feat.

The 29-year-old Swedish netminder is in his eighth NHL season and is making a solid case for the Vezina Trophy, awarded annually to the league’s top goaltender.

Ullmark currently leads the league in goals against average (1.86) and save percentage (.938) and has a record of 30-4-1.

Ullmark’s goal came during a game in which the Bruins improved to 45-8-5 on the year, making them the team with the best record in the league.

The win over the Canucks was just one example of the team’s ability to find ways to put games away and protect their record.

Ullmark’s defensive and offensive performance has been a significant part of the Bruins’ success this season.

His goal was met with excitement and admiration from his teammates and fans alike, with Bruins forward Brad Marchand commenting that it “tops off an incredible season for him.”

The Swedish native was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the sixth round of the 2012 NHL draft and signed a four-year, $20,000,000 contract with the Boston Bruins in July of 2021.

The last time a goalie scored in an NHL game before Ullmark was in January of 2020, when Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators scored against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The rarity of goalie goals makes Ullmark’s achievement all the more impressive and adds to the excitement of the sport for fans.

Ullmark’s goal also adds to the history and lore of the NHL, with only a select few goalies having accomplished the feat.

The excitement and thrill of seeing a goalie score a goal are unmatched in the sport, and Ullmark’s goal will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the season’s most memorable moments.
