Staffing shortages cause leaf collection, glass recycling temporary changes in Boise

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Some temporary changes are coming for glass recycling and leaf collection in Boise.

The city of Boise said that beginning on Monday, Boise residents will now be limited to five-leaf bags per week, and the city's glass cart recycling service is suspended until Nov. 30.

The coronavirus is causing Republic Services staffing shortages. In addition, large-item collection will be suspended until further notice.
