Scott (Krista Horine) Godbey and Andrea (Steve) Kirk welcomed Jacob “Jake” Allen Godbey into the world on April 10, 1998 in Anderson, Indiana. Jake happily earned his high school diploma from Pendleton Heights in 2016.

While pursuing his love of electrical work as an apprentice with IBEW Local 1393, he devoted his career to CenterPoint Energy, where he worked as a skilled Gas Specialist. Beyond his work life, Jake found great delight in Hank, his beloved pet, and they spent numerous happy moments together.

Jake had previously volunteered for the Pendleton Fire and Ambulance Services, giving selflessly to the welfare of others, and he was a shining example of a strong sense of community.

Jake had a special place in his heart for his family, and he was adored by his sister Kaitlyn “Kait” Elizabeth Hawkins and brother Ryan Hawkins, with whom he had a warm and caring relationship.
