Model bitten in face by leopard during photoshoot
It was cat versus catwalker.
A German model was mauled by a leopard during a photoshoot — leaving her unconscious and with large gashes on her face and head, according to reports Thursday.
Jessica Leidolph, 36, was posing for shots inside an animal enclosure at a center for retired showbiz animals in Nebra Tuesday when the 16-year-old leopard, Troja, sunk its teeth into her head, according to the German newspaper Bild.
“It repeatedly kept biting my cheek, ear and head,” she told the outlet, according to the UK Sun.
The fashion plate passed out from severe bleeding and was rushed by helicopter to a hospital, where she was immediately operated on and is now recovering, the outlet reported.
Troja and her cage-mate, an 18-year-old leopard named Paris, had once appeared in a TV ad for shared the electronics company Panasonic.

Leidolph, who also has her own erotic calendar, is a self-proclaimed animal rights advocate who owns a horse, cats, pigeons and parrots, according to her website.
Police are now investigating whether the managers of the wildlife center should be held responsible for the attack due to negligence.
It was not immediately clear what, if anything, triggered the big cat attack. It also wasn’t clear what kind of photoshoot Leidolph was on at the time.
