The fish were biting for Saturday’s kids fishing derby at Carbon Canyon Regional Park.
Hosted by OC Parks and Fourth District Supervisor Doug Chaffee, the derby featured tips for the young anglers and a contest for the biggest catch – it weighed in at 4.25 pounds.
About 2,500 pounds of catfish had been added to the lake for the derby.
