Golden Globes 2021: Maya Rudolph and Kenan Thompsons comic cameo divides Twitter

As the 78th annual Golden Globes put on a bicoastal virtual show, co-host Amy Poehler poked fun of the trials of tech difficulties in the age of Zoom acceptance speeches.

In a surprise sketch, Poehler called on SNL pals Maya Rudolph and Kenan Thompson. They played the role of a French couple or French siblings — or French siblings who are a couple? — who accept a faux award for best TV/movie/musical music score.

Some of the jokes included Rudolph wearing three shoes, Thompson’s attempt at a French accent and Poehler’s reactions to the speech.

People took to Twitter to react to this surprise sketch with some loving it, while others were not feeling it.
