REVEALED: The unlikely Kmart pet toy that settles and puts babies to sleep in seconds - and it's j
Parents are going crazy over a $12 cat toy from Kmart they say helps put their baby to sleep in seconds.
The cat toy is in the shape of a fish – and when it is turned on it’s tail slaps the air, making the fish wiggle and flail around on the floor.
But parents are using it to pat their children’s backs and bums to get them to sleep, without leaving them ‘nap trapped’.

‘I got my niece and nephew one each and they love it,’ one aunt said.
‘Little hack for mother’s out there could be ideal,’ another mum said.
The prospect of putting the baby to sleep on its own has excited thousands of mums.
‘This is amazing, I never would have thought of it but at this point I will try anything,’ one mum wrote on a post about the toy.
‘I will get this for you and you will be hands free in know time,’ one man said, tagging his wife in a video of the product.
‘After the day I have had I just want to know if the fish comes with a complimentary wine,’ one mum said.
Others acknowledged using the fish is a great idea but ‘not for everyone’.

‘This wouldn’t have worked with my kids. Patting wasn’t enough, they wanted to be held in my arms for their entire nap,’ one mum said.
Some said the fish is ‘too noisy’ to put kids asleep.
‘I have it for my cats unfortunately will not work to put children to sleep because it’s noisy,’ she said.
But cat lovers complained about the toy.
‘My cat hates the thing, my mother in law got one for her cat and then decided to get one for my cat too but mine just looks at it like what’s your problem then walks away,’ a woman said.
