Broadway Star Matt Doyle Reveals How He's Staying Safe While Boyfriend Max Clayton Recovers from COV

Hot Broadway couple Matt Doyle and Max Clayton are starring in two of the most popular shows playing right now and they also have to navigate staying safe amid the pandemic.

Matt is currently starring in the musical Company while Max is the standby for Hugh Jackman in the revival of The Music Man.

Max unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 this week, along with many other The Music Man cast members, and Matt is opening up about the measures he’s taking to avoid the virus while his boyfriend recovers.

Matt revealed on his Instagram Stories this week that he’s in a “hotel quarantine while Max recovers.”

He added, “Yes, I’m negative. 2 PCR tests. Lab and Rapid. I’ve been in a hotel since before Max tested positive. I’ll be here for the next ten days while he recovers. There are no new cases at Company. Excited to be out there tonight.” He also released a lengthy statement about the testing protocols at Company, which you can read in the gallery.

Matt‘s co-star Patti LuPone released a statement to explain why she missed a couple performances and the reason wasn’t COVID-19.
