Comanche Station Star Nancy Gates Dies at 93

Actress Nancy Gates, best known for her appearances in western shows like “Comanche Station,” passed away at her home in Los Angeles.

While the most important project she worked in was with Frank Sinatra in “Suddenly,” Gates also worked in many B-grade westerns, including “Cheyenne Takes Over,” “Check Your Guns,” “Roll, Thunder, Roll!,” “Stranger on Horseback,” “The Rawhide Trail,” and “The Gunfight at Dodge City.”

During an interview in 1961, she said that she got a lot of roles in western shows because she was from Texas. “I've been on so many horses I'm beginning to feel like they're a part of me. The funny thing is I'm not much of a rider," added the actress,
