6ix9ine Is 'Struggling to Make Ends Meet' After Failed Comeback

Tekashi 6ix9ine has fallen on hard times. The controversial rapper, who is known to flaunt his wealth on social media, has run out of wealth to flaunt, admitting to a judge that he is “struggling to make ends meet.” 6ix9ine is facing a civil lawsuit for his role in a 2018 armed robbery, and the Brooklyn rapper admits an unfavorable verdict might leave him bankrupt.

In court documents obtained by Complex, 6ix9ine admits to a judge in a sworn declaration that his career comeback has flopped. The rapper says that he’s gone broke as record labels are no longer offering him the advances that they used to.

“Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet. I do not know if I will ever command the kind of advances I was paid before my arrest, and my career stalled,” 6ix9ine claimed.

6ix9ine says his record deal with TenThousand Projects ended last month, and so did his merchandising deal. Even worse, Tekashi says he doesn’t receive any royalties under those agreements, and his royalty account remained “unrecouped.”

In the documents, he blamed the COVID-19 pandemic and his brief prison stint for complicating his ability to make money.

“I have had to try to restart my career after my release from prison. I was out of the business for two years, which caused me to lose all the momentum I had achieved before I was arrested. I may never reach the levels of success I had before my arrest," he said in the sworn declaration.

Mr.TattleTales also said that any unfavorable ruling might lead to his bankruptcy.

"If the Court awards the compensatory damages and punitive damages sought by the Plaintiffs at this inquest, it will surely bankrupt me in a way from which I will never recover to the permanent detriment of the family members who rely upon me."

Even worse for 6ix9ine, his accountant has claimed that the rapper’s net worth is “technically less than zero.” That’s a stunning fall from grace for a rapper whose wealth was once estimated to be roughly $8 million.

The rapper released his third album, TattleTales, after getting out of prison in 2021. The album flopped and sold around 50,000 copies, one-third of the projected amount.

6ix9ine isn't the only rapper who has fallen on hard times. Lil Pump has been struggling to pay off his massive $1.6 million tax debt.
