'I am Jazz' Fan Review: Jazz's family is never happy with her, nothing is 'good enough'

Jazz Jennings is constantly belittled for the way she looks and feels like her achievements are overlooked

Season 7 of TLC's reality show, '', stars Jazz Jennings, a transgender woman in her 20s. The show walks us through what her life with family is like, being a trans student in her 20s, living with constant mental health issues, and struggling with massive weight gain.

is a fierce, strong girl who was accepted into Harvard. And while she is ecstatic about it, her puts a lot of pressure on her to lose , whilst constantly nudging her to take control of her life to be a healthy one. On the episode that aired on December 7, 2021, the family organise a game day, complete with a sack and watermelon eating contest; both to help Jazz feel better, which it eventually did not.
