After several memorable years, it seems like the CMA Awards has finally decided to switch things up for viewers. For the past decade, country music sensations Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood stood side by side to host the biggest country music night. But in 2019, the show makers welcomed new hosts, Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker. Even though the new hosts did their job exceedingly well, fans still wanted to see Carrie and Brad hosting their favorite musical night.

The duo of Carrie and Brad hosted the event for 11 years before the show makers found new hosts last year. "It’s an incredible honor to welcome Carrie, Reba and Dolly to the CMA Awards stage this year," the Country Music Association’s CEO, Sarah Trahern, shared. "In addition to awarding the year’s best and brightest in the genre, the 53rd Annual CMA Awards will celebrate the legacy of women within country music, and we couldn’t think of a more dynamic group of women to host the show."

Even though this is the second year when the famous duo is not hosting the show, fans really missed them, as one user said, "Forever missing Brad & Carrie hosting this thing #CMAawards." Another one wrote, "Darius and Reba are two of the most naturally likable people in country music, but I definitely do miss Brad & Carrie. Also, someone needs to start serving cocktails around this room. People feel a little polite/weirded out being there. #CMAawards"

Darius and Reba are two of the most naturally likable people in country music, but I definitely do miss Brad & Carrie. Also, someone needs to start serving cocktails around this room. People feel a little polite/weirded out being there.

One said, "Miss seeing Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley hosting The CMA’s this year. They would’ve brought the house down. #CMAawards." Calling it a "pitiful" show another one wrote, "Too bad Carrie is not hosting the awards. And Brad. It used to be a great show- something to look forward to. Pitiful last year; more pitiful this year. @carrieundewood @BradPaisley #cmaawards"

Some even vowed not to watch the show: "Not watching the #CMAawards tonight. Won’t be the same without Brad and Carrie. Tired of the industry treating Carrie like crap. I’ll miss these performances from her." While another one called it a "charm-free monologue and said, "What a charm-free, humor-free monologue. As I've said, it's embarrassing that they let the Brad-Carrie streak come to an end. That was the one aspect of the show that always worked. #CMAAwards"
