LeBron James' Son, Bronny James, Files Trademarks To Possibly Enter The NFT Space

Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, is set out to carve out his own lane not only on the court but now in the world of crypto. The digital space has been one of the latest trends — especially non-fungible tokens (NFTs) — and the 17-year-old is on his way to tap in.

Boardroom reports that James has filed three trademarks focused on NFTs, gaming, and fashion with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

The filings are allegedly for NFTs, cryptographic tokens, and downloadable multimedia files relating to sports, athletes, and music. The description also includes being tied to clothing and apparel, plus entertainment services.

No further details have been announced yet about what James plans to do with the trademarks nor the status of their approval.

Like Father, Like Son

James is following the entrepreneurial route just like his dad, who has ventured into multiple sectors.

LeBron has been featured in NFT collections like  Binance’s “Before They Were Pros” series and Warner Bros. and Nifty’s “Space Jam: A New Legacy” Collectibles.

AfroTech previously shared that the limited-edition collection made history as the first movie franchise to incorporate NFTs.

“We are excited to partner with Nifty’s on this new way for our audiences to engage with their favorite characters, connect with other fans and enjoy our movies on and off the screen,” said Pam Lifford, President of Warner Bros. Global Brands and Experiences, in a statement. “‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ is fun for everyone and it was important to us to give audiences new and exciting ways to celebrate their fandom.”
