Congratulations, You Have Been Invited To Hawktoberfest, by Dan Caprera

Dear Mr. Kensington, It is with great joy that I tender to you my deepest and sincerest “congratulations.” Over the past few decades, you have been an avid yet discreet patron of the Phillip Hendricks Institute of Ornithological Fraternity. And, considering the many anonymous donations that you’ve made to our highly-specialized Avicultural Society, you have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that your love of hawks (the winged she-devil that God himself aspires to become) is beyond rebuke. Courtney Taylor on PlayingInsecures I Got It Covered Girl

Seasons four and five of Insecure feature the formation and expansion of Issa’s business, the Blocc, which throws events by and for the local Inglewood community. Instrumental to the progress and success of the company is loyal intern turned executive assistant Quoia, played by Courtney Taylor with a self-seriousness that lends itself to great comedy, whether she’s barking orders through a headset or keeping Issa fed with a baggie of Eggos. Cousin Greg? More Like Creepy Greg.

Nothing screams psychological thriller like being locked in a closet with your bad date. Which is exactly what goes down in an exclusive first-look clip from the October 6 film Cat Person, directed by Susanna Fogel from a screenplay written by Michelle Ashford. Based on Kristen Roupenian’s short story of the same name, the adaptation of the blockbuster New Yorker piece stars Succession’s Nicholas Braun and Coda’s Emilia Jones, following their unsettling attempt at romance in the age of text message flirtation and age-gap discourse. Damien Chazelle Has a Two-Hour Cut of Babylon in His iPhone Camera Roll

Here’s some vindicating news for anyone who thought Babylon was too Baby-long: A shorter version of the extravagant drama set in 1920s Hollywood does in fact exist. The final movie has a run time of more than three hours, but per Entertainment Weekly, director Damien Chazelle revealed during a recent Q&A that he shot a snappier cut before filming officially began. “It’s a very tight, two-hour version of the entire movie, [filmed] on an iPhone in our backyard,” he said in an impressively subtle flex of the size of his phone storage and his outdoor space. Season three, Episode 17, “Basic Lupine Urology,” or “The One Where My Wife Went Into Labor and I Couldn’t Leave Until I Finished My Scenes,” is Danny Pudi’s favorite Community episode, but not just for its fun Law & Order parody.
